Many of you know: I enjoy shopping. I like bargain hunting. I like picking through endless racks of clothes. I love the adrenaline rush of an awesome find. Since I started this new job I have realized that my closet is severely lacking in the “semi-professional” career wear section. I do own a great pair of black pants- I have an awesome pair of grey slacks, but they are about 12 inches to long..and I haven’t owned khakis since the GAP outlet had a sale in ’96. And so, my pant-seeking adventure began.
I started at Old Navy. Generic- yes I am aware. But they do have good staples once in a while. I hit up TJ MAXX, and then finished with the Supreme Nordstrom’s Rack. Let me tell you- I was EXTREMELY disappointed. This is what I found:
Ugly, right? Now don’t be fooled- they can look a tiny bit attractive on a model or on a mannequin. This does not apply to ANYONE else seeking pants. I could not find normal pants anywhere! Am I missing something? Is it suddenly in style to have ginormous hippo legs? What am I supposed to wear to work tomorrow? When is this going to be out of fashion so I can attempt shopping again? And what MAN came up with this? (cmon. you know it was a dude.)
I surrender. I guess its black pants tomorrow…again…
