In May, we took a trip to Mexico with our extended family. We weren’t planning on being able to go this year- but after the miscarriage in March, we decided YOLO let’s go. It was really helpful to have something so fun to look forward to when stuff wasn’t all shiny and bright, you know what I mean? Always heals the spirit a little bit.
We went last year and you guys, I never blogged it so it’s like it never really happened. It’s such a family friendly resort- kids have lots of cousins to play with and the weather was beautiful and we had such a good time. Wave pools and splash pads and the ocean plus fish tacos and diet coke with lime.
I will say, trips with our children are only getting easier. Trips with babies and toddlers are really hard and so exhausting but this weird thing happens when they get a little bit bigger- they can carry their own crap! They can sit on an airplane for several hours without crying! They can use their own legs to maneuver around an airport! They can listen to your directions and fight the urge to run away at random times! Yes, we still have toddler Thatcher. What’s between a toddler and a kid? A kidlet maybe? He def needs one on one attention at all times especially around water but the big kids make it a lot less stressful.
I take all the photos with my phone, and then pick my favorites to upload to the computer for the blog. I narrowed it down to 150. lol. So here is part one of forty seven. Just kidding.
