trick or treat.

Here’s the rest of our harvesty-autumn halloweenie activities.

Sometimes you do the pumpkin patch with the whole family, leisurely take a whole evening and carve them up, decorate fall themed sugar cookies, and take beautiful instagram worthy photos of the entire process. And sometimes you are at the pumpkin patch an hour before closing, grab them and get them carved after school on the back porch while dad is at work. (Kids don’t really know the difference, fyi.)

And the girls

Mom did this super fun party at her house complete with a “show” out on the front yard. This woman lives for Halloween and had quite the crowd show up! Since Halloween was on a school night (yikes sorry teachers) we did one big neighborhood and called it good. Thatcher was 100% on board for knocking on random people’s doors and collecting candy. He pushed that little blue wagon the ENTIRE night, I wish I had a video of it or something but it was pretty dark. He couldn’t quite say trick or treat but did his best saying PEASE while furiously signing more. The big kids had a little more freedom this year and ran from house to house while we kept an eye on them from the sidewalk. Linc in his giant underpants costume and Izzie with her cousin best friends. Really a fun night all around and I sure do love living by my family.
