So. Many of you participated in our friendly “What should we name our neighborly horse” poll we had up for the last few weeks. You will notice to the right that the results are displayed in a dead tie. What I want to know is
WHO VOTED FOR NANCY???
Really people, cmon. This horse is neither a secretary nor a school teacher therefore it should not ever be named Nancy. This was Jazz’s choice and I’m sure some of you voted purely for that reason. Let’s just say I’m glad Jazz will not be naming our children by himself. (No Jazz, He-Man can not be considered)
Nelly is a beautiful horse name. It is soft and smooth. It can be used many different situations, such as: “Gmorning Nelly!” and “Cmere Nelly!” and “Whoa, Nelly” Nelly is a perfect horse name.

*editors note: this little mask on Horse’s face isn’t to punish her or be mean. Its a fly mask used to keep bugs and infections out. It is netted so she can see through it and get to her delicious grass and cool refreshing water.

Here are the reasons why I chose Nancy, for the most beautiful horse name ever! Nancy and I have had many conversations, and here are a few of her memorable quotes for reasons why her name is Nancy:

Some names just fit. And some other names are way too typical. Nelly, for instance, is waaayy too typical. It’s like people who name their fishes Nemo. (who hasn’t done that??) Nancy, on the other hand, just fits. It has character. If Craig and I ever get a cat, we’ll name it Bruce. It just fits! And it has way more character than “Fluffy” or something else overly used. Sorry, Micci!

I am with Adrienne… I am fond of neither Nancy or Nelly… I vote for The Toastmaster General. If opens doors you don’t want to enter, I vote for Astird. If the polls are REALLY closed and we are down to the chad-debates… I guess I’ll say Nancy too, as I agree with Callie’s point. That probably was less than helpful. 😉 And, by the way… on my blog you said you were a little comment happy… you act like that’s a bad thing!? Get happier, is what I say!

Dur! Nancy is just lame. Sounds like my grandma (though neither of my grandmas were named Nancy). Plus Micci brings me donuts some times so I have to side with her. Though Jazz did get me front row seats to the Greatest Show on Earth. Hmmm…dilema…I still say Nelly. It’s just funner! Ok, so that’s not a word..but whatever.

For your sake I voted for Nelly, but I agree with Callie and I agree even more with Adrienne. Neighbor horses, of the variety that you haven’t actually met, need to have really fun names!

I think I am going to have to go with Nancy, Sorry Micci, but Nancy is a pretty good name for a horse. Take ours for instance, his name is Pocket and Emma has decided that he is not a he but a she and her name is to be Polly Pocket. Actually… I think my 3 year old is onto something. Name her after a toy!:)

Nancy wins. I voted for Nancy and I stand by it. It just fits… “Whoa Nancy,” “Hi Nancy, how are you today?” (she would reply with, “Neeeeeaaayyyy! – yes I speak Horse.). No, I don’t quite get Jazz’s reasoning and the masters and kings, but I enjoy the name Nancy and when I see her on December 4th, I will say, “Hi Nancers!!! What a great name you have!”
